By applying for this position I am hoping to expand my knowledge of the laboratory field. I am currently going to UCF to obtain my bachelor degree in Molecular and Microbiology. I hope to get as much experience in this field at the time being also. I learn very quick, work very well with other people and am very good with computers. I can offer you my best effort, and dedication to this job.

I began working at the Marine Science Center (MSC) as an education intern right out of high school. I helped run educational programs over the summer, set up classes and classrooms, conducted field trips and helped with sea turtle and sea bird rehab centers. In January of 2006 my boss was offered a new job and left, during the period of time there was no Education Coordinator, the MSC pointed me as the Education Coordinator for the 4 months they were not able to hire someone else. While going to school full time, I was able to plan and hold summer camps, plan a huge event, Turtle Day, and run the classes and classroom and field trips held as well as being able to employee more interns underneath me. It was an experience of a lifetime, and with being able to do this I was able to learn time management, planning skills, and more responosibilty than I had ever had.

Held managerial responsibilities with being able to headwait and do administration work for the company.

Applying for this job I hope to enhance and learn many new skills. I do not have much experience in this area yet, and am hoping to gain some with this job. I am currently a Molecular and Microbiology student and have taken several microbiology courses and have some background knowledge of the area, with still much more to learn. I will be able to offer full dedication and time, as well as computer skills in Word, Publisher, Excel and Power Point, I have good time management and am a very responsible worker. I learn very quickly and am willing to learn anything else that is supplemental to this job.
